About Me

Hello there, my name is Alicia and my passion is health and wellness!

I’m 27 and currently living in Washington.

I’m on a mission to maintain the healthy body and mindset I’ve worked hard to achieve. I take pride in living a balanced lifestyle. I used to have every excuse you can think of for not eating right, exercising regularly, and taking care of my body and soul. I had been heavily involved with soccer since I was 9, but after high school I stopped playing. Even when I was playing soccer, I still didn’t eat moderately. In fact, I had a bad habit of eating out of boredom. I hadn’t the slightest clue as how to nourish my body, let alone take care of it the way I should. I figured I was young enough to get away with my bad habits. And I guess I thought since I had always been a bit on the heavy side that I would always be that way. I simply did not know how to change, even if I wanted to.

Well, one day my body decided enough was enough. In 2010, I was diagnosed with a cardiovascular illness which I worked HARD to reverse. I am much much healthier now and not to mention incredibly happy. I love living a fit lifestyle. And I love to share my experiences, thoughts, tips, advice, workouts, recipes, and whatever else I can to help any one wishing to live a healthier, happier lifestyle. Since then, I have found peace, happiness, and self-love by dedicating my life to health and fitness. I hope you’ll join me on this journey, and find your inner fit girl. My goal is to help you find a new appreciation for yourself and improve your overall quality of life.

Now, I’m a first time mom to a beautiful baby girl, Jade. I’m doing my best to make it all work out and stay sane. I share just about everything through this site, so I hope you find some content that connects with you.

Alicia … You are my inspiration. Although I have no problem with my cholestrol, I have a “fatty liver” and am pre-diabetic. Yes, this does run in our family, but we can beat it! The doctor said I must lose weight and increase my physical activity and of course follow my pre-diabetic meal plan. It is hard to lose weight as you get older 😦 but I’m trying. But not hard enough. I should be training more for my 40 mile breast cancer walk, but I’ve been lazy. Well, gotta go walk the dog (and myself!) I love you. See you next month at the family reunion. Auntie Elaine.
