A Letter for my Daughter

Dear Daughter,

I write to you as you reside in my womb. There are a few things I want you to know; some are lessons I have learned on my journey through life, and some are wishes for you that I hope come true.

Number one, I will always love you and strive to make sure you feel loved each and every day. You can count on me. Of that, you can be sure.

Number two, you are beautiful in every way imaginable. You are here with great purpose. As your life goes on, you will undoubtedly fumble and question yourself, however, you are my daughter, and that means there is a fire within you. You cannot fail so long as you stay true to your heart. I will be here as long as I can to remind you if ever you forget.

Number three, live fully. Dance. Sing. Say yes. Say no. Speak up. Be present. Be kind. Say please and always give thanks.

Number four, speak from your heart and listen when it speaks to you.

Number five, finding balance is a continuous practice that requires patience and an open mind.

Number six, I pray you will always find yourself back on your feet when life knocks you down. Furthermore, I pray you realize life isn’t picking on you, bur rather choosing you and preparing you for your next chapter.

Number seven, there will probably be a time when you can’t be bothered with me, but don’t go too long without a phone call or a visit.

Number eight, eat your vegetables.

Number nine, exercise.

Number ten, take care and respect Mother Earth.

Number eleven, I love you more than I can express.

Always and forever, Mom ❤img_20161127_1_37
