“When things in your life aren’t adding up, it’s time to start subtracting.”
Just too true, isn’t it? Lately it seems as if I’m in serious need of taking this advice. I know I can’t change other people’s mindset, but I can change mine. I want to get back to a time when I had more peace in my life. I’ve let a lot of negative get to me and I really dislike how I let it affect me so much.
I’m detoxifying my life, cleansing my surroundings, and letting go. I want to not only recognize the bright side of every situation, but also generate peace and positivity.
Most of the time I feel pretty happy and at peace, but there’s always those few times when I let someone else’s actions or words get to me. Someone will cut me off or tail gate me or cut in front of me in line or give me dirty, impatient looks when I’m trying to read a label to find out how much sugar there is. While I’m really tired of these things happening, I’m even more frustrated with how it makes me feel. Sure, it’s appropriate to voice my opinions and defend myself when the time calls for it, but you gotta pick your battles.
There is no more room in my life for things or people that bring me down.
I believe that being completely healthy means much more than being physically fit.
I’m ready to let in all the beauty and peace this world has to offer.
There will always be reasons to sad or angry.
There will always be something to complain about.
HOWEVER, the same is true about what lies on the other end of the spectrum.
There will be more reasons to smile, laugh, give thanks, and love.
